John Wesley's Rule

Do all the good you can,
By all the means you can,
In all the ways you can,
In all the places you can,
At all the times you can,
To all the people you can,
As long as ever you can
.

John Wesley and his brother Charles are remembered as the founders of Methodism.  You can find out more of the history of the Methodist Church  and what makes it distinctive on the website of the Methodist Church.

Alpha Course

Is there more to life than this?

What am I doing here?

Does God exist?

These are the sort of questions the Alpha Course sets out to answer.

If these are the questions you ask yourself too have a look at the Outreach page.  We'll advertise the next course there.

Time to give life back.

Flooding in Pakistan

As the full extent of the tragedy unfolds in Pakistan  the practical response of the Methodist Church is being coordinated by the Methodist Relief and Development Fund.  Visit their site to find out the latest on what they are doing and how you can help.

There will be an additional collection at all  our services in August to support this response.  You will find a collection plate near each door of church.  Please make a donation if you can, and Gift Aid it if you qualify.

Our harvest supper on 18 September will raise funds for MRDF and there will be envelopes in the pews to receive donations at our Harvest Festival services the next day.

Please pray for help to reach those who need it.

Earthquake in Haiti

The need for help in Haiti will be an open ended commitment.  Find out what the Methodist Relief and Development Fund is doing and how you can help on their website
